183-day rule
As long as employees spend fewer than 183 days a year in Türkiye, income tax liability normally stays in Germany. Clean proof of stay and a clear workation policy are essential.
Permanent establishment risk
If contracts are concluded or management is exercised from Türkiye, a Turkish permanent establishment may arise. We help draw a clear line between workation and operational presence.
Social security
The bilateral social security agreement between Germany and Türkiye applies. Before departure, insurance status is clarified with the health insurer, the pension insurer and, where needed, an A1 certificate.
